FAQ Answers:

1. Should I consider being a Motivational Speaker and Facilitator?
Becoming a motivational speaker requires that you have both an open mind and the ability to give people hope through your words.  A good speaker can bring something positive from a personal negative experience and be able to transfer that experience in a way that gives new hope and a sense of self-worth to others. If this is something you feel you could do, then becoming a motivational speaker may be right for you. As a motivational speaker you get to help improve the lives of others while following your own dream. <back to top>

10. What will you provide to help me become successful as a speaker?
As a speaker and facilitator, we can continue to support your success by:

  • Creating a web-presence for your Motivational Speaking and Facilitation profile,
  • Introducing you as the local speaker/facilitator when we run programs in your region,
  • Inviting you to participate in events that we deliver locally in your region,
  • Providing you with support tools and ideas to self-promote your services,
  • Providing our complimentary refresher program to refine your skills and ability.

11. Do I have to do any selling?
No. Your role is not to be a sales person, however you will need to make your presence known. As a speaker-facilitator your role is to show that you sincerely want to help. You can do this by simply being yourself and allowing your sincerity and belief to shine through. You do however need to let others know that you are a speaker and facilitator.

Once you meet a potential client and they see that you are truly interested in his or her (or their organization's) growth, they will freely engage you in the next step. If someone remains uncertain, do not try to convince him or her, even if you are an accomplished salesperson.  As a speaker your goal is not to pressure or persuade someone that they should hire you. The fit must be right and they must need to hear what you have to say. The key is in your message.  If they are not ready to move forward, then they are not ready.  You will be more successful when your clients participate with you because they truly want to grow.

For those who remain uncertain, simply ask if they would like to be notified of future events or complimentary sessions or direct them to your profile on the gaski.com web site. Then ask them to call you if they need further information and leave the rest up to them. Remember, we want you to be surrounded by people who are like you; interested, cooperative, self-motivated and willing to go after their dreams. <back to top>

12. How will I get people to sign up to become my clients?
If you choose to have your profile and bio listed on the gaski.com web site, then when a client contacts us about you (or about facilitation sessions in your local area), we will refer them to you. And when we deliver workshops (or trade shows) in your area, you will be brought in and introduced as the local speaker-facilitator for our programs.

13. When I get someone on the phone, what do I say?
Remember, your job is not a sales job. We don't want you pressuring anyone and you don't want clients in your portfolio who are reluctant to be there. Your goal is to make sure your client has the right information and clearly understands the value and benefit of working with you in ways that support personal and organizational growth and success.

Also, if you are uncomfortable in dealing with some questions that clients may ask, then you can refer them to Gaski or our website at gaski.com. <back to top>

14. What happens if one of my clients signs up for a Gaski workshop?
If one of your clients (or referrals) signs up for any of our workshops, then you will receive compensation. The compensation will be a percentage of the registration fee. Contact us for more details about our referral fee structure. <back to top>

15. Can I go further than this training?
Yes.  For those individuals who would like to go beyond being an independent motivational speaker or facilitator, you can become certified to deliver our personal growth workshops (Wired-to-Win, Empowered Belief and Wired-to-Win, Attraction Action). The first step is to successfully complete the Motivational Speaker and Facilitator program. Please contact us for more details. <back to top>
