Toronto, Ontario (July 11, 2006) - The Gaski Performance Group, in collaboration with Seneca College, Faculty of Continuing Education and Training, announces the design, development and delivery of the core elements for the new Seneca College Leadership Certificate Program designed for part-time and evening studies business professionals.
The increasingly competitive business environment in Canada is one of many reasons why a practical hands-on Leadership Certificate program designed for supervisors, managers and directors was created. The primary results of a survey (conducted in May-June 2006) of executives at Canadian companies indicated specific skills that executives felt their staff required in order to become more effective leaders within their organizations. The message from many of these business leaders was that, in order for a leadership program to be effective, it must teach their people more about leadership from a real-world context and less from a theoretical one.
The 6 subject leadership certificate program includes four (4) new and customized skills development modules (based on the needs identified by Canadian executives) that are supported by some of the most recently available research and studies. These four (4) new modules include:
- Adaptive leadership - focused on leadership skills from the individual, the group and the situational perspective
- Self-Management and Performance - focused on the individual competencies necessary for personal and professional success
- Strategic Planning, Decision Making and Implementation - focused on planning and implementation from both a strategic and tactical perspective
- Business Dynamics and Change Management - focused on strategies to successfully implement new initiatives or to enhance existing ones
