Workflow and Discovery

A common mistake in implementation strategies is that a solution is proposed before all relevant information has been collected, understood and analyzed. Before change can be made to any business environment, regardless if it's internally initiated or externally suggested, the critical impacts of that change must first be understood and analyzed. Otherwise there is increased risk that the proposed change does not meet its expected objective. That it in turn may create even more challenges than those that existed before the change was implemented.

This program is focused on the means and methods to identify and understand the current business workflow and its impacts on the customer's environment. It starts by collecting information on how and why information moves from person to person, including the technology that drives it and where it ends.

The overall objective is to recognize the importance and impact of the inter-relations between the various workflow elements in the business environment before attempting to address those business challenges with a partial solution.

This program is designed to demonstrate how an effective workflow analysis can uncover hidden opportunities, future challenges and potential roadblocks that may impact the success of a proposed business change or sales recommendation.

Program topics covered:

  • Business workflow fundamentals,
  • Asking effective workflow questions,
  • Analyzing data,
